We finally got some SNOW!!
Mari and Xavier were so excited to wake up and find it snowing yesterday morning that they barely wanted to go to school! I bribed them into going by promising I would pick them up early enough that we could go outside and play in it before it got dark. Xavier had never played in the snow before. He liked it but he didn't like the snow on his gloves so he spent most of his time just kicking it around. Here are a few pictures from our fun in the snow!

Monster Jam!!
We went to Monster Jam over the weekend. With our ticket we got a pass to go to the "Pit Party" before the show to see the trucks up close and personal and to meet the drivers! When Xavier saw the trucks his eyes got as big as silver dollars - he was in HEAVEN!!!! He immediately wanted to get on them. 
Mari on the other hand was scared of the trucks and wanted to go to our seats in peanut heaven as soon as she saw the trucks.
Xavier's favorite truck was "Superman" but the fans favorite truck was "Grave Digger". Mari and I were cheering for "Madusa" who was driven by a woman!!!!
To get a better idea how BIG the trucks are, Xavier could fit in the rim of the "Superman" truck and was half the height of the tires!

Obamamania has struck!
I know it is history in the making but I am not crazy enough to brave the cold weather along with millions of people to see Barack Obama sworn in as the first African American president! Hopefully I will be able to leave work so I can see it on T.V.
